Base · L2 · token launch

On Base, onboarding is the launch.

Base reaches an audience that does not describe itself as crypto. Coinbase distribution puts a product in front of people who have never signed a transaction, which means the hardest part of a Base launch is not tokenomics or listings. It is the first ninety seconds of someone using the thing without knowing what a wallet is.

What changes here

Three things that are different about launching on Base.

Generic launch advice is worth very little once a chain is chosen. These are the constraints that actually shape the work on Base.

The buyer may not know they are onchain

Base products increasingly reach consumers through familiar surfaces, so the copy cannot assume the vocabulary. Words like bridge, gas and approve are friction. The material that converts explains the benefit in ordinary language and keeps the chain in the background where it belongs.

Coinbase distribution is a real asset and a real constraint

Proximity to a listed US company raises the bar on claims. Anything that reads as a return promise, or that would embarrass a compliance reviewer, is a liability. We write to that standard from the first draft rather than retrofitting it after legal.

There is no native token to compete with you

Base has no token of its own. Gas is paid in ETH, so there is no emission schedule, no unlock cliff and no ecosystem token competing for the attention of your holders. That is a genuine structural advantage and it belongs in your materials.

The honest part

What we will tell you before you commit.

Consumer reach cuts both ways. A product that reaches non crypto users will be judged by non crypto standards, and a confusing first session costs you the user permanently rather than sending them to a Discord to ask.

We take no foundation retainers and no ecosystem referral fees on any chain, including Base. If Base is the wrong choice for what you are building, you will hear that during the scoping call rather than after the invoice.

Where our work stops

We do not write, deploy or audit smart contracts. We do not provide market making, treasury management or token economics as a financial service, we do not give financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and we cannot guarantee an exchange listing. What we do is everything around the contract: positioning, brand identity, the litepaper, the launch site, the dApp front end, the investor and community material and the campaign that carries it.

Scope

What the program covers.

Brand and narrative, litepaper and investor material, the launch site and dApp front end, community architecture and the listing kit. The deliverables are the same wherever you launch. What changes on Base is the emphasis, and that is what the sections above are about. Full scope and engagement shapes.

Questions

Base launch questions we get asked.

Does Base have its own token?

No. Base has no native token. Gas is paid in ETH, which means there is no supply schedule, no emission curve and no unlock cliff on the network itself. Anything you launch on Base is not competing with a chain token for attention or balance sheet.

Do you build the smart contracts for a Base launch?

No. We do not write, deploy or audit contracts. We design and build the front end, the launch site and the onboarding flow, and we write the material around the launch. Your engineers or an audit firm own the contracts.

What does a Base launch usually need that others do not?

Onboarding design. The audience often arrives without a wallet and without the vocabulary, so wallet creation, funding and the first transaction have to be designed as a consumer product rather than explained in documentation.

Can you work with our compliance team?

Yes, and on Base we assume it from the start. We write claim safe copy, flag anything that could read as an investment promise, and expect a review cycle in the schedule rather than treating it as a surprise.

Nothing on this page is financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Orca Web3 provides marketing, branding and design services only. Base and other chain names and logos are the trademarks of their respective owners and appear here to indicate the networks we work on, not to imply endorsement or partnership.

Next step

Tell us what you are launching on Base.

A scoping call costs nothing and ends with a straight answer, including the answer that Base is the wrong chain for this or that you do not need a token at all.
